Genre-bending artist Albert Salt has announced his long-overdue return to the Melbourne music
scene, releasing ​‘Even Out’​ on June 26 - his first single in over two years.

‘Even Out’​ retains the expertly layered instrumental production for which Salt is renowned,​ ​while signalling a noteworthy shift towards alternative Pop and RnB melodies. Mixed by Nick Bond (​Juno Disco​) and mastered by Harvey O’Sullivan (​Touch Sensitive, Triple J House Party)​, the song is reminiscent of the early work of Justin Timberlake and inspired by the production of Pharrell and J Dilla.

Salt provides a rare insight into his own psyche through introspective and deeply personal lyrics. Addressing the theme of heartbreak, his commanding vocals assert a sense of certitude achievable only by someone who is purposefully recovering from a seemingly inescapable sense of loss. With artwork created by James Vinson, ​‘Even Out’ ​is the first single from an upcoming record to be released by Salt later this year.
